If I need to find something out about the college, my first port of call would actually be to one of my kids. Actually, what’s going on? Tell me about it. If I’ve got anything more specific, then I’ll go to their Ako Coach and/or the subject teacher.

If there is a problem, I try to support them. However, I know that there are others more capable to support, and they are the kaiako. Therefore I encourage them to seek their help if there is an issue, and they are always available to assist them so that is that.

We are able to talk directly to the teachers so our dialogue, our conversations, have been really good. We’ve been able to ask questions, making time to come in to meet with the dean as well has been really awesome. We do have a good understanding. It could get better but I think the information that’s available at the moment on the site has helped us to understand it as a whole.
